03:09 WisTilt2 arrrghhh: when you get a chance can you dl this next image only and see if panel wakes out of sleep nearly every time? if this is noticeably better ill tweak the timing a bit more.
03:10 arrrghhh ok
03:10 arrrghhh 1 sec
03:10 arrrghhh i'm in droid right now
03:10 arrrghhh w/your magical kernel. battery life is insane dude.
03:10 arrrghhh people with other devices are bugging me about it :P
03:10 randomblame I'm happy with the current one
03:11 WisTilt2 yeah im betting everyone will be seeing under 1% per hour in sleep np now.
03:11 arrrghhh WisTilt2, i'd say so. i can't accurately say what the drain is, but less than 1% an hour easily. it's awesome.
03:11 arrrghhh sync on as well!
03:12 randomblame wistilt2 - next step bluetooth so we can do this one more thing: Sopa de mondongo is a hearty traditional soup of Latin America and the Caribbean. It is made from slow-cooked diced tripe (the cleaned stomach of a cow). Vegetables such as bell peppers, onions, carrots, cabbage, celery, tomatoes, cilantro, garlic or root vegetables are added.
03:12 randomblame <derek0228> my dad likes that

03:12 randomblame that's not a link at all
03:12 randomblame stupid xchat
03:12<= apt left/quit
03:12 WisTilt2 i did a bit of probing into the system server issue also and found the cause, at least whats happening. going to mess with it tonight but my radio programmer will probably need to do some coding in ril to fix it if it cant be done in kernel.
03:12 randomblame shibby
03:13 arrrghhh WisTilt2, sounds good. do you think you can help with netloc too?
03:13<= Berger left/quit
03:13 arrrghhh i swear that command bzo found earlier is just missing
03:13 WisTilt2 im not doing BT, i think bzo was working on that. got other things to fix higher priority.
03:13 arrrghhh +bsinfo or whatever
03:13 WisTilt2 what command?
03:14 WisTilt2 oh, you mean he found that was missing
03:14 WisTilt2 ?
03:14 arrrghhh damnit. i can't remember exactly, bzo pasted that link
03:14 arrrghhh and i copied it to you
03:14 arrrghhh i should've sent it to you in that email
03:14 arrrghhh but i didn't have the link handy
03:14 arrrghhh i can go thru the logs, unless bzo is alive and has said link handy?
03:16 arrrghhh WisTilt2, sorry full pack or just zImage?
03:16 arrrghhh fyi i don't mind zImage only
03:16 arrrghhh for testing.
03:16 arrrghhh you can do the full packs when you think it's good enough to distribute ;)
03:17 WisTilt2 dont think netloc directly is the problem, related somewhat but not causing it directly. problem is with a virtual memory address being returned NULL when ril attempts to register onto the network for service and/or data.
03:17 WisTilt2 yeah i only put up the zimage to test right now.
03:18=> apt joins
03:19 WisTilt2 btw, with this kernel i had my phone in sleep today for close to 8hrs and battery went down by only 3%. where i was all day i had 3 bars signal also.

03:25 WisTilt2 arrrghhh: i dont know if i ever explained this new panel collapse starting yesterday's fully but when you hit power off, the panel goes into full collapse immediately. its off before green sleep happens now. the wake problem out of sleep is timing from whatever routine posts the wakeup screen, its happening before the panel registers are fully setup.
03:25** ermo is now known as ermo
03:25 arrrghhh huh
03:25 arrrghhh ok dude
03:25 arrrghhh grabbing it now :D
03:26 WisTilt2 when you toggle power on/off without letting it go to full sleep the panel will come up 100% of the time. hopefully with the timing changes i just made it will come up out of sleep 100% now. might need to tweak it just a bit more though after you confirm it.
03:26 arrrghhh sounds good!
03:26=> BbLugNut joins
03:26 arrrghhh booting now
03:29 arrrghhh oh and the netloc stuff...
03:29 arrrghhh whether or not it's related to the system_server issue
03:29 arrrghhh i'm just being selfish - it doesn't work on cdma, and i'd like it to :P
03:30 stinebd gonna need someone on cdma to trace winmo ril behavior then
03:30 WisTilt2 bzo: which reminds me, do you know if the .35 fb being used in this source does anything timing wise when going into suspend? it seems that there is a timer around 5secs or so that doesnt clear something right.
03:31 arrrghhh stinebd, well there was a hint provided from a vogue guy... but yea i can trace ril behavior in winmo just need to be shown how :P
03:31 arrrghhh is it more haretconsole fun?
03:31 stinebd no idea how phh did it
03:31 arrrghhh hrm
03:32 arrrghhh well when phh is felling extra-patient, maybe he can help walk me thru it...
03:32 arrrghhh WisTilt2, i'll try to find that link tho
03:32 arrrghhh i think i remember when i mentioned it haha
03:32 arrrghhh WisTilt2, so far 2/2 on the screen wake. VERY fast.
03:33 WisTilt2 stinebd: you probably dont want to here this but your last rootfs broke the _ key on rhod.
03:33 arrrghhh however, sleep takes a little while for me. usually 10+secs
03:33 WisTilt2 hear
03:33 stinebd my last rootfs didn't even touch that stuff
03:33 WisTilt2 should sleep in around 5 after things get all situated
03:33 WisTilt2 last as in 11/15
03:33 stinebd last is 1/23
03:34 arrrghhh hehe
03:34 stinebd and 11/15 is liblights only
03:34 WisTilt2 let me rephrase... i noticed it on the 11/15 rootfs:)
03:34 arrrghhh WisTilt2, hrm. _ works for me. i'm on 1/23.
03:34 arrrghhh i'm also on a different kl file tho
03:35 WisTilt2 maybe i need to get 1/23, i usually stay behind the times as i dont read forums to know when new stuff comes out lol
03:35 arrrghhh eh just checkout xdandroid.com
03:35 arrrghhh has the newest stuff (minus kernel)
03:35 arrrghhh i'm wondering if we need to get another autobuild up
03:35 arrrghhh doesn't seem like glemsom is comin back...
03:36 arrrghhh WisTilt2, panel wake is amazing. 4/4. sleep still takes 30 secs.
03:36 arrrghhh panel "turns off" very quickly, as soon as i hit the button
03:36 arrrghhh but for the LED to go green, 30s.
03:37<= Daevoq left/quit
03:37 WisTilt2 stinebd: while i have you here, we were talking about the led event blah blah.... i looked at the source you linked me to and i see there is a sys caps something and func. if i change that state from the kernel will userland use it currently? dont know if that makes any sense?
03:37 WisTilt2 arrrghhh probably need to reboot or make another call. normal should be 5secs to sleep
03:38 arrrghhh hrm...
03:38 stinebd WisTilt2: don't know. if userland is changing it, it should be based on the state of its own input handler so i would assume it doesn't care about the current value.
03:38 arrrghhh could be a silly widget or something i guess...
03:38 WisTilt2 you might have to wait at least 5secs in sleep sometimes to get it to wakeup each time, dont know if its same on your device.
03:39 arrrghhh hrm. maybe i'll get you a dmesg in a sec here
03:39 arrrghhh i killed all the apps running
03:39 arrrghhh and it still takes 30s to sleep.
03:39 arrrghhh it is sleeping tho, which is good.
03:40 arrrghhh panel wake is perfect ho.
03:40 WisTilt2 stinebd: if userland is changing the state of both caps and fn then im going to hook them into my current working code. problem arrrghhh found was if you hit caps and/or fn then close kbd, leds stay on and userland resets the state so i can use that if its working in userland like that already.
03:40 arrrghhh s/ho/tho/
03:40 apt arrrghhh meant: panel wake is perfect tho.
03:40 arrrghhh hotho
03:40 randomblame wistilt2 - I noticed the - key wasn't working on my rhod300 too
03:40=> psykick5 joins
03:40<= dyndragon left/quit
03:40 stinebd WisTilt2: in theory android should turn those off when the clamshell is closed
03:40 WisTilt2 randomblame, which rootfs you running?
03:41 randomblame the one distributed with frx04
03:41 stinebd WisTilt2: in any event it can all be handled properly by userland. and it really should because kernel has no way to tell what state android input is actually in
03:41 WisTilt2 stinebd: as long as userland is indeed changing those /sys variables now, i will tied that into my led logic and we'll be in sync.
03:42 stinebd well it's not _now_
03:42 arrrghhh haha
03:42 WisTilt2 oh:(
03:42 stinebd but it might eventually
03:42 stinebd just do it the right way in the kernel
03:42 stinebd and userland will catch up
03:42 WisTilt2 when YOU get that done i'll hook them properly in kernel then:) right now im doing all the state logic in kernel, which is a real pain.
03:43 stinebd basically what should be done is remove all that stuff from the kernel, leave a sysfs hook and then i'll get to it when i can :P
03:43 arrrghhh yea having something to hook the userland state into the kernel would be the best, obviously...
03:43 psykick5 Hey guys quick question. Where is the power control widget file located in a CM7 build?
03:43 stinebd also patches from arrrghhh are welcome
03:43 arrrghhh lol
03:43 WisTilt2 sounds good. ill leave it in kernel for now since its working as it should.
03:44 arrrghhh wish i knew what i was doing in userland... or kernel... or y'know any of the code haha.
03:44 WisTilt2 arrrghhh so panel waking 100% of the time now out of sleep?
03:44 arrrghhh WisTilt2, panel wake has been bulletproof, i lost count at this point. sleep is 30s every single time tho.
03:44 arrrghhh yup.
03:44 arrrghhh wakes QUICK too. very nice dude, very nice work indeed!
03:45 arrrghhh usually less than 1.5s to wake. haven't had a 'failed wake' yet.
03:46 WisTilt2 need to make sure this timing works on all rhods now. the 100's will have to wait a bit longer until i get the detect for it finished.
03:46 arrrghhh do you want to see a dmesg to see why it's not sleeping? i'm not really sure why it's taking so long to sleep.
03:46 WisTilt2 yeah
03:46 arrrghhh cool, 1 sec.
03:46 WisTilt2 how long are you leaving it in sleep before you hit power again?
03:46 arrrghhh 1-30s
03:46 arrrghhh i've let it sit for a little bit, or sometimes as soon as it goes green. every time it wakes.
03:47 WisTilt2 nice
03:47 arrrghhh don't think i've let it sit longer than 30s tho
03:47 arrrghhh after green light is on that is.
03:47 WisTilt2 timing should be about right then
03:47 stickman89 :D
03:48 psykick5 No one knows?
03:48 WisTilt2 i think you'll like the battery saving in this one also
03:48 stinebd i would like it with raph plz
03:48 stickman89 WisTilt2: Any possibility of making panel collapse work for the blackstone also?
03:48 WisTilt2 stinebd: do you know which panel chip you have?

03:58 stickman89 WisTilt2: Any possibility for blackstone? A operational panel collapse that is rather just backlight hack which we have atm.

05:25 WisTilt2 i seem to have more system server issues pop up when showing cingular, very little if any when at&t

13:16 captainigloo i see on the SHR blog (http://blog.shr-project.org/2011/01/some-good-news.html) that GNUtoo|laptop have begin to port Alsa sound on the 2.6.32 kernel
13:17 captainigloo as htc bravo hard is really close to Nexus One, I could maybe have something working on the desire ?

13:46 captainigloo GNUtoo|laptop: yes cyanogen supprot it, 2.6.37 and 2.635 I'm using are based on cyanogen kernel
13:47=> balans joins
13:47 GNUtoo|laptop so maybe try no the gitorious kernel
